“Dedication”
“Redeeming Blood”
At the start of 2022, I was invited to be part of a faith-based art exhibition involving
many different artists. After getting the prompt, which was “freedom,” I prayed that God
would give me an image that would bring others closer to Him. I asked Him to use my
gift of creativity to further His kingdom. After I finished the prayer, I received a vision of a
lion tangled in a thorn bush. Two spectral hands held a wounded lamb above the bush.
Blood was pouring from the lamb’s gashes and spilled onto the bush, burning through
the spurs and freeing the lion. As the lion started to rise up from the cage, it let out a
victorious roar.
This image represents Jesus’ sacrifice that freed all from sin and His victorious
resurrection from death. It is more symbolic than illustrative, as Jesus is both the Lion
and the Lamb with God the Father holding His Son in His hands. As Jesus died, He
spoke the words, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) As His blood frees us from sin, the Lion of
Judah roars as He defeats death and sin forever. I used gold leaf to bring attention to
the precious blood of the Lamb of God. I did my best to illustrate what the Lord had
given me. The final piece is the best I could do to share what He showed me

My portfolio consists of professional and personal works. The main subject of my personal works are animals. I use photo references and even, at times, my imagination to create realistic depictions.
“Creation In Gold Leaf” series
This is a series I started in 2024 after deciding to move toward a fixed subject matter. Even at the early years of my life I had the most passion for artworks involving wildlife. However, I needed my own signature take on the subject and, due to a project I did back in 2022, I found my niche: gold leaf.
